Continuing Professional Development
An education system is only as good as its teachers. Both developed and developing countries have become concerned with increasing the effectiveness of their teachers. According to a research by Sanders and River in 1996, on an average, two students with average performance (50th percentile) will diverge by more than 50 percentile points over a three-year period depending on the teacher they were assigned.
The National Education Policy 2020 acknowledges the importance of professional development and has not only outlined the pathway for the teachers but also for school leaders.
“Each teacher will be expected to participate in at least 50 hours of CPD opportunities every year for their own professional development, driven by their own interests. CPD opportunities will, in particular, systematically cover the latest pedagogies regarding foundational literacy and numeracy, formative and adaptive assessment of learning outcomes, competency-based learning, and related pedagogies, such as experiential learning, arts-integrated, sports-integrated, and storytelling-based approaches, etc.”

Every teacher training endeavour at Possibility Edutech Private Limited is need-based or based on global trends of education. Teachers are given an opportunity to practise their learnings in their own context (classroom and own set of students) and then report back over a feedback and reflection session.
